My Very First Post

I am very new to stitch-a-longs but would have to say I am thoroughly enjoying stitching with you all. One less project that gets put in my 'one day' pile.

Thankyou so much to Susan for all your help getting me started with both the stitching and the posting.

Thanks also to Helen for getting us all together, wonderful idea and love that it is no fuss!

I finished another 3 blocks on the weekend and have to say I am much happier with them. I don't do many projects with embroideries in them and it has taken a few attempts to get back in the rhythm.

We have been away the last 2 weekends and I find these little stitcheries ideal to take with me. I have sewed in a showground, by a lagoon, by the ocean and even on a couple of ferries.  A good little project to pick up and fill in time.

This is one of the fabrics I have chosen for some of my blocks. I have a selection of pinks, greens and a bit of blue to mix in with it. The quilt will end up going to my lovely mother-in-law and she will love these colours. I made her a lap quilt many, many years ago and she has used it so much the front started to fall apart. Time for a new one!

Like a few other ladies, my favourite block so far is the rose one.

I look forward to seeing everyone else's progress.

A Wet October

We're stuck in with this rain event down the Queeensland coast ... so no off-farm or on farm work means extra stitching time.

Now I need a trip to town for some stabilizer before I can start more stitcheries.

Progressing Nicely

Hi Ladies
So lovely to see all the stitcheries coming along, everyone is doing such beautiful work!
This is where I'm currently at:
Sorry the pic is not so good... just couldn't get a clear one for some reason.
All the stitcheries are now traced & have their stabiliser on the back... & they sit in my kit-bag for this project... along with scissors, needles, thread, hoop, thread-catcher... so easy to just pick up & take it with me each Friday to patchwork group!

Bye for Now ♥

A Few More Finishes

I have gone back to the beginning of this stitch-a-long and can only find a handful of photos that I have posted about.  So I thought I had better do a catch up.... I think I may have added them on Instagram only so far.   I have completed 13 blocks -  These blocks  are so quick and easy to do, that my stash is building faster than I thought.
Not the greatest photos but they will do..

The rose block is my favourite block.
That's all for me as this is the first time posting from my phone and i can't say I'm a fan..  lol
Catchya all later...
